As a Western society we are starting to realise how important the Gut really is, we are what our gut is.

The bowel has a big part to play in keeping us healthy and around 80 % of our immunity is from our gut. It is linked to all areas of our body, when it’s working well it is linked to controlling our weight. It can also influence our mood and atributes to general wellness.

The gut is as important as our brains and heart, yet as a nation we may be still too embarrassed to ask vital questions about it. The Gut microbiome or our individual gut plan of good “gut flora” or bacteria, as we commonly know it as, play a key part in obesity, allergies and depression.

Have you read “Gut”?

Do you want to know more about poo and our gut microbiome?

This book is a witty page-turner and digestible insight into everything gastric.

Gut is a Sunday Times Bestseller written by German writer and scientist, Giulia Enders.  It’s an entertaining and informative health handbook that shows we can all benefit from getting to know the wondrous world of our inner workings.

In Gut, Giulia reveals the latest science on how much our digestive system has to offer. It’s as important as our brain or heart, yet we know very little about how it works and many of us are too embarrassed to ask questions.

From our miraculous gut bacteria – which can play a part in obesity, allergies, depression and even Alzheimer’s – to the best position to poo.

I think a must read.

If you would like more information regarding your gut and how I can help you maintain it’s health, please contact me.

Birmingham in June

In June,I’m going on a CPD (continuing professional development) conference hosted by ARCH who have some wonderful speakers, take a look at the flyer.

I’m looking forward to and learning more about the up and coming area of Probiotic implants, or its super sounding technical term called Faecal Microbiota Transplatation.

Yes, sounds very high brow doesn’t it, but this may become the next best thing since Jimmy Shoo, although I was never able to own a pair of these wonderful shoes, I really did miss out, watch this space regarding FMT.

Welcome

I’m really excited to announce that my website is now up and running and I am officially open for business.

Already, I have had some wonderful customers who have come to see me. Some are new to colonic treatments others are old hands.

People have asked me why I’ve embarked on this journey and why I decided not to pursue my Teaching Advisory work anymore. Well, I replied by saying I really needed a change. A lot of personal events had happened just recently especially the sad passing of my mother just before Christmas 2016.

I’m doing this for me and my mum, I know that she would have been very proud of me starting a new venture and she might even have come for a treatment.

So, as one chapter closes another opens, here’s to the future. I’ve had customers already and the customers who have come to see me so far, have been so kind and have given me their experiences which you can read. Thank you to all of you who have contributed and were so positive and kind in your comments.
